This update says that it Improves stability. Not true, it crashes because of plug-ins.

I went back to old version that is stable and will wait for a fix before trying this update again.

Behaves same as last version. Still crashes soon after startup or at startup.

Please don't mind me say a few words here. I know half of you will disagree but the other half will agree.

I love Apple (Mac). That's the only computer I use, other than at work that they all geared up with Piece of C...

But honestly, I never like Safari from day one. I've been updating it just because it is there. Safari is not very website/s friendly. Updating it is just something to do, but ever since the version 3.0.4, whatever I updated were all craps. Either they are not working, or crashing or quits when I close the page and so on, and so on...

There are so many other browsers out there that we can use and they are even faster than Safari and much more stable than Safari. It's not necessary is the best thing or we have to use the things that come with the package. Right? If you own and drive a Mercedes, is it a must to use a Mercedes key chain or a Mercedes wallet?

There are 2 applications which came with OSX that I don't use (I should say I don't like to use at all) are Safari and Apple Mail.

Well, life is full of choices. Some like it cold, and some like it hot, just like us choosing Mac over Pee...........see...........!@#$?&*......What?

That's my 2 cents.

A lot faster than previous versions, but still with serious problems.
Here on G5, 10.4.11, no stable loading of Atom-Feeds, for instance

This one is loaded, but nothing is clickable in it...

Anything is better than Safari. Blind faith is the act of a follower.

No one is using Safari in "blind faith" or because of some fanboy reasons. Believe me I didn't use it till version 2. (Before that it wasn't very neat..) And only then did I use it when it had a pop-up blocker.

I don't use Safari cause it comes with OS X or Apple makes it. I use it because it's the best browser I have used for OS X out there yet. Until something BETTER comes along, I will continue to use it.

That doesn't make me full of "blind faith" I assure you.

Why can't safari do basic things like customize popups and checkboxes? I think this makes it less of a real browser.

I had 1Password and Saft installed at the time of upgrade, of course Saft does not work now but 1Password has always worked, let me try a re-install of Safari without the add-ons.. thanks.

Safari's main strength is its integration with other application from Apple as well as the infrastructure provided by Mac OS X. But at the same time this is the only thing it has going for it. It does not provide any way to block ads or fine-grained (per site) settings for JavaScript or plug-ins. Additionally, it does not have any kind of official extension infrastructure so any update to Safari might either break one of the many unofficial extensions or make Safari crash randomly. Speed-wise it is comparable to most other browser currently on the market so speed is not a unique selling point anymore.

Liking Safari is pretty much dependent on how much you use the OS integration features. To me personally, a good advertisement blocker makes and a better bookmark management system makes my time interacting with the Internet far more enjoyable than being able to look up words in the Dictionary occasionally.

Yeah, same here. 3.2.1 freezes after a few minutes. Didn't happen before the update. I cleared all related files and reinstalled. It's broken. Please fix it soon. FireFox runs like a turtle.

I have had lots of problems with Safari since 10.5.6... but this version and the last are the worst. Lots of beachballs, freezing, stalling, quitting... a real loss of work time and a real pain.

The only haxie I run is WindowShade, which, granted, might be the root of my problems... and, Unsanity doesn't answer emails any more. I written them twice (nicely) in the last two weeks.

I picked up the latest WebKit and it works much better.

I use Safari every day on every web sites, with Leopard and Tiger, on PPC and Intel and I have no problem. It's always faster then other Browsers, and easy to use. Only a minimum number of pages are some difficulties, but often those pages are difficult for others too.

Fantastic. The use of Web Apps gives this browser that step above the rest. Keep it up Apple

Wouldn't launch under 10.5.6 on my Intel MacBook Pro. Dock shows app loading, then quits.

Works perfectly on a C2D MBP running 10.4.11, seems faster. Wish the tabs were still below the bookmarks bar though.
